Orderd two. Why? Becuse i can
OK, here is a shot of the Rubies Leia blaster primed so you can see the detail. This is just sanded and primed, nothing else was done.
My photo does not do this blaster justice. Very little work needed, sanding, and painting. Unless you want to bondo the seam lines.

Is there anyone the can take a side by side with a MR?
I know but just to be clear, it was a statement regarding in store availability using that and other items as an example. In short, just because Rubies make it, does not mean you will find it in the stores.
I was planning on using one of my Rubies Leia Blasters to build the ROTJ version,
I've got the Tomtit grills (looks like it uses 2?) & I've ordered some rubber feet/squares
but I cannot find the muzzle/flash hider anywhere, has anyone got any ideas where to find one??
I'd hoped maybe shapeways as they have all sorts of weird & wonderful parts but I couldn't find this
I may have to resort to either just leaving the coiled section on as a muzzle or trying to make something
also it looks like the Tomtit cylinder slides over the barrel rather than having the bottom cut out,
Where is everyone getting those Tomtit cylinders?

No kidding, I had no idea about the Force Pike or Gaffi stick until you mentioned them! And I just picked up a Rubies Amidala blaster which is another surprisingly good prop (though I had seen it a while back). Looks right on in accuracy.
I believe the original Tomtit grill piece was two separate halves to make on whole grill.
The Padme blaster conversion looks great, Frank!
Guabe also has those grill pieces available for printing/download here:

They seem to be accurate in size/detail, though I've never measured an actual Tomtit. I used his model when building a DDC from Aprilstorm's model of the Margolin.
Are the Tomtit parts really just 2.50 UKP each? Seems cheaper to go with them rather than a 3d print. But I guess you are wanting it all as one piece?
According to the guy with the dies, it was always cast as one piece. The presumption over in the ANH Hero DL-44 thread is that they just ran them through a bandsaw to get the halves for production.
