Rubber prop building

I have a mold made from Mold Star and want to make a rubber weapon from Dragon Skin. I bought brush on powder to color the outside of the prop based on a video that showed brush on metal powder. However, I realized the video used PT Flex for the weapon rather than platinum cure silicone. How can I color the silicone prop and still be sure it will demold? I am assuming spray mold release on the powder will make it not be taken on by the Dragon skin, and adding it after spraying would make a mess.
