RS Propmasters X-Wing Helmets

And thats what i meant with f-book requirement (the hyperdrive-exclusive stuff)
I understand. I resisted doing much on Facebook for years. Joining groups like The Hyperdrive has been totally fine. The posts need to be approved by a moderator of the group, so you don't get posts that aren't related to Star Wars.

I wish they did the ANH red leader helmet. I know they've done it in the past
They could make the helmet, but it couldn't be a signature edition because the actor died in 2016. Hopefully RS will start taking x-wing helmet commissions again at some point. I had a Porkins helmet made as a commission by RS.

I refuse to touch it because Meta tries to folow you everywhere with it's tracking. Using a fullblock that blocks everything of them as the only way to cut off the tentacles

Unfortunately I think other sites/companies do that too. It's hard to be on the internet and not have some kind of tracking.

RS Gold Leader #51 from the new production run. Fantastic helmet.

wondering, too and wondering what the current batch size is
The total Gold Leader batch size is still 100. 25 were produced in the first batch a few years ago. I believe 25 in the recent batch, so 50 to still be produced. I am confused by LewisD's being #51. Maybe only 49 left to go.

Nice but how? Did you get an order in from when they were briefly offered before?
When the gold leader helmet was originally announced, it was done so during a Rogue One 6 YouTube livestream. As soon as Rob mentioned it on air, everyone watching scrambled to email Andrea to order the 25 units that were finished. Unfortunately, I was late by only minutes, but Andrea said she would let me know when the next batch would be available. Three years later, Andrea, bless her heart, contact the folks who had initially emailed her and offered a spot on the current run.

I could be very wrong on this, but I suspect that their records were destroyed in the fire and they may not have confirmed yet which edition numbers are in circulation. They are probably just being cautious and starting with later numbers.

Here's mine. Number 56. Maybe they aren't sending the numbers out in sequence.

I'm a little disappointed in the lack of chipping along the edges. The photo on the product page shows much more chipping.

Its a pretty helmet. Nice design. I like how they indicate some things are newer than other things. But i agree.. needs chipping. Some of it looks super fresh and the lesser fresh stuff isnt wearing much even though the helmet is super dirty in areas.

Simon from RS reached out to me about the chipping. It is done by lightly scratching the edges with the back of a scalpel. I will try to do it myself so the helmet doesn't need to be shipped overseas again.

Oh nice. Glad you got an order in.
RS recently contacted people about the second batch. There is a Waitlist at Gold Leader 'John' Y Wing Helmet | RS Prop Masters Stockport – Screen Lineage Replicas. Sign up on the waitlist if you are interested. I don't know how they will select people from the waitlist.
Yeah I signed up as soon as Scruffylooking posted about it. I hope I get a spot. This was definitely an odd offering method.

Congrats. Are you and LewisD in the UK? You received your helmets so fast. It makes me a little worried that they may have already sold out the edition. Anybody else here on the waitlist that hasn't been contacted yet?

Ron, no one has been contacted yet about this current pre order for the Gold leader helmet.
We will be contacted next year if we made the cut

I am in the US. These came fast because the helmets were pretty much done when they contacted people to see if they wanted to make the purchase.

I believe this was batch two, but the numbering confuses me since two of us received numbers in the 50s.

A couple RS podcasts ago it was mentioned that the current waitlist for the Gold Leader helmet was at 60 with a run of the last 50.
