Looks like there will be metal ears, just not the ones made on the machines that made the original screen used ones. No word on cost yet.
It's beginning to get exciting .
Taken from there site:
Specialist resin, hand laid helmet shell casting made, 2nd generation cast. The helmet casting is completed with all the accessories required to finish the outer appearance of this prop replica. Laser cut dark grey acrylic ‘T’ visor, shaped to fit. High quality clean castings of resin ears, designed from original parts.Range finder top detail, (4 parts) with found part view finder casting and clear “perspex” section, two non functioning red LED’s and solid aluminium range finder stalk. An original calculator circuit board completes the detailing at the rear.
Metal Ear sets to fit this 2nd Gen casting will be offered soon as an upgrade option, details to follow.

Hope to get one of these once this rona situation is resolved. They look absolutely gorgeous and I would love to compare it to the MCR one
I just received the notice from RS to finalize my choice between the two color options (white or dark grey).
Seems like those who ordered the Raw kits can start expecting them to start shipping in a couple of weeks depending on their initial payment options.
The metal ears upgrade seems to be under way as well and may be ready around mid or late September. The price is not bad and close, if not lower price point, as current machined ears for other make Boba Fett helmets.
Really excited to get this in hand and displayed. I just need to clear out some space for it in my Detolf.

Yes, the email was only for RAW kits as they are still working on the painted helmets.

Gutted I cannot afford one of these ..
It was either an HDPE Battle worn TK and an HDPE Sandtrooper .. OR this
I picked the HDPE's.

I would have done the same, as the HDPE TK helmets tend to be limited runs. This Boba Fett run seems to be open ended - so you could order one in a couple/few years. That option may not be available for the HDPE helmets...
