Welcome to our newest forum; the Sculpture and Makeup Effects forum!

To get this forum rolling, we are starting with a sculpting contest!

What do we want you to sculpt? Anything at all! Big or small, any subject (keep it clean). This sculpt must be something new you are working on, specifically for this contest, not an old sculpt or a sculpt already in progress. Your final submission must be a raw, unpainted, unphotoshopped clay sculpt.

The contest will run from April 3 through April 30 at 10:00pm PST, giving you almost a month to work on your sculpt!

For details about your entry, read on!

Entry Submission

There are two steps to entering this contest;

First, create a new thread, here in the Sculpture and Makeup Effects forum with the title: "[Your board name]'s Sculpture Contest Entry"

In the first post of your thread, tell us what you are planning to sculpt, and what medium you plan to use. While it is not required, we'd also like you to include a little about your skill and experience as a sculptor and any tips you might like to share.

Before the end of the contest, you must also post at least two "in progress" photos of your sculpt into your thread.

Second, post a SINGLE photo of your sculpt into the RPF Gallery under the Contests->2012-04-Sculpting Contest folder.

The title of your entry should include your board name and the name of your sculpt.

On 05/01/2012 we will open the gallery for voting from our members.

How are winners determined?

On 05/01/2012 we will open the gallery for voting from our members through 05/06/2012. Winners will be announced on 05/07/2012. Winners will be determined by vote. There will be one winner and three runners up.

What are the prizes?
  • first place - $100 Gift Certificate (probably to Amazon.com or Smooth-On... not sure yet)
  • runner up - $50 Gift Certificate *three of these will be awareded.

QUESTION
Is a Super Sculpey sculpture still considered Raw after being hardened ?
I'm hardening the sculpey as i go a long so that i not mess up everything if i need to change something. :confused

That'd be your username. So you would put "fleefromme" for your board name. :thumbsup
