Royal Guard Helmets

I'm interested in getting two - one for classic RG and one to mod for the Mando
style. DoP of course. Is anyone keeping a list of interested people?

If the accuracy is there...I'm down for one.

I agree

this is just sheer luck as I have just settled on this as my 501st costume. you may have another buyer on your list ;)

General Mayhem, do you have any pics of the actual robes that you make? I'd like to see them and the Snowtrooper duster if you have them.

Doh. Wish I'd have caught this thread earlier. :rolleyes I just finished molding a standard Don Post for a friend so I could have a copy as well as make one to be modded into the blue Episode III version. I was hoping to possibly sell a couple to help fund some stuff.

Here's the first one out of the mold:

I'm not trying to hijack this thread, just kicking myself a little. :D General Mayhem's work is supposed to be really great from what I hear so you guys should get some great helmets.

Dex's loaner helmet just arrived. I'll snap a few pictures and post them later so people can see how close the size and shape are to the originals.

A vac-formed version in red ABS could definitely be of interest to me, though, unsure how it could be done.

So, the plan was gelcoated fiberglass... hmm... looking forward to updates.

Right now I'm considering a ball park figure of around $200 plus shipping.

EDIT: Final price for new orders has been set at $250 plus shipping, due to material and labor costs.

Here's the helmet, without visor installed.

As you can see, the shape and size are a good match for the originals...

Count me in for one as well. I've wanted one of these since I first got the pencil topper from burger king when I was 4.

GM, that is a fantastic looking RG helmet you got there. Great size on it. I find many are too small.

Would you include a visor? and can you estimate a timetable? thanks.

The finished helmets will come with a gray or "smoked" tinted visor installed. I expect to begin making the mold and pulling the first copies some time within the next week.

Helmet looks a little wide/chunky in the top pictures, whereas the original looks slim and tall... or is that just my eyes playing trix with me?
