ROTS Vader helmet?

I'm sure this question will be fruitless, but are there any other makers of a ROTS Vader helmet? I already know about the MR. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay 1000 bucks for a helmet to costume in (not to mention that they are hard to find now). It's bound to get scratched and chipped. I've tried Costumebase and Portumac, and neither of them make them anymore. Anyone know of anyone else?

***Please do not turn this into a: the Prequels suck, Lucas is the Devil and I don't like the symmetry of the ROTS mask thread. There's plenty of those already.***

Thank you

Don't need 100% accurate. MR is currently the only 100% accurate Vader mask of any Vader helmet. There's a lot of close OT helmets out there, but none are 100% accurate. So I'm not fretting too much over that. I'm looking for a little more symmetry and a longer neck.

To someone like myself, who does not make 6 figures or more a year, buying an MR and then damaging it while walking around with it under the armor and possibly bumping into things, is like wiping with 100 dollar bills. I don't have that kind of money to begin with, and it's wasteful.

Problem is you are gonna spend near a grand buying a good casting, good lenses, tusks, grills and padding, and then having it painted.

I thought the MR's went down a bit? (there is one on ebay right now for $699)

Does it HAVE to be a ROTS?

I guess you could get a SGTFANG and mod it?

I'm in the same boat. I actually have an MR ROTS helmet but the idea of costuming with it just scares the hell out of me. It's one of the main reasons I haven't finished the rest of the costume.

Nah. Tusks usually go for about 15 bucks. Lenses... well, I'm still at a loss as to wear to get the flat RotS lenses. Grills as far as I'm concerned can be easily pulled from a cheap truck air filter from Walmart, and padding is nothing more than foam and felt. It wouldn't be the first helmet I've painted myself either. It's fairly easy because it's all black, rather than black and gunmetal like OT.

I am surprised that nobody sells castings of the MR ROTS Vader. The license is long expired and its generally considered acceptable in the prop community to recast an expired licensed item. It happens frequently with the Fett helmets.

I bought an MR some 3 years ago with the sole purpose of one day making copies from it. Just have been waiting for it to be at least half way worth while before I pulled apart a collectible helmet for casting.

If I thought that there was a good strong interest in the piece I would be interested in starting that project one day soon.

Hi,

I have a very good Potumac ROTS reveal, I can post pics if interested.
Also have a SPFX ANH Vader that I am looking at selling.
PM me

The dome on the Portumac looks all wonky. Those are the best option though. You are still gonna pay a chunk of change.

Honestly you should just keep your eyes out for a MR. I saw one on Rebelscum for 5-600 last year and I picked up one for $275 last December. It's an awesome helmet and is a far better choice than the portumac helmet which doesn't really look like the ROTS to me.

The Portumac Lid is a good ROTS helmet, but the dome is an OT Dome, there is no denying that if you see a MR and Porty dome side by side
