Did a little research last night and had new idea about the U channel.
Maybe it's metal edging?

Closest match I see here is around 50% too tall, but the stuff looks close.
Most U-channel is too squared off.

This is the last piece I'm missing for mine. It'd be nice to do in metal.

That's what I figured, 1/2" x 1/2". My MGC is still boxed up, but I looked at my real Sterling to check the hole size for scale.
Closest match on that website is about 1/2" wide x 3/4" tall.

I mentioned earlier that I may have found the correct scope rings originally used on the prop. Now there is a chance I may be wrong, but I am over 90% certain this is the correct make and model.

The brand is Parker-Hale, a company in England and the model is RCH 3. Pics below.

I know it has been a long time since I last posted any updates, but I am taking this project off the shelf and getting back to work. I have recently produced two sets of accurate metal u-track for both blasters. The size is exactly the same as the originals on the prop. I am quite happy with them.
I am currently hunting down the plastic cap piece the goes in front of the scope. I have a few samples being sent to me right now. Hopefully I will get a match.

WOW...the track came out wonderful.

would be very interested in a set for my own blaster, who is still featuring those CE channels from back when Vince offered kits ...basically just aluminum tubing sliced in half. Can´t stand this anymore

Is it possible that the prop builders spray painted the entire blaster prop after they had mounted all the pieces together?? Looking at this production image, the surface finish looks incredibly uniform.

Highly Likely they did this in my opinion.

Yes for sure... usually in production like this they're not going to individually paint parts before assembly.
