Rooster Cogburn Colt Dragoon replica problem

Hey friends!

I fell in Love with the Colt Dragoon and thought I would buy a replica.

The problem is, these replicas I am finding run 400 to 600 bucks here in the USA. And there are a few cheaper ones, but they have weird designs all over the metal and look just plain wrong. Maybe I am not finding the right place to shop!

Any advice on where to find a reasonably priced replica of the True Grit Colt Dragoon? I prefer to NOT go for a 3D print. I’d like as close to this version as possible.

I was hopeful someone here might have a lead on where to get a nice affordable replica!

I take it you are looking for a shooting replica. You might want to check Taylors
Firearms on line. The main problem is the dragoon and earlier Walker Colt
are so huge and use so ,much steel that the cost is always high,

The dollar to euro exchange rate has not been kind to black powder firearm prices here in the last few years. You might check some of the online gun auctions or local sources for used ones, but The Dragoon was never as cheap as other revolvers. You are still probably going to pay a couple hundred at least for a decent piece.

The cylinder engraving is on all of them is accurate, that's how the originals were. Problem with the denix is that it's too deep and contrasts terribly with the inappropriate grey finish. If the color was corrected it might look more acceptable.

if your in USA it should be no problem .. Walkers can be had second hand for buttons . Italian re-pops that is ! Try local gun and pawn stores .
