Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Pre-release)

They mention that possibility in the article but since there is a rumored flashback to Jyn's childhood spilled by Mads a while back, I'm inclined to think mother in that sequence.

Wasn't aware of the "Flashback" scene. Interesting. I'm wondering if these "Flashbacks" and "Visions" are going to become common in upcoming SW movies?

In this case I see a flashback as a way to provide exposition, especially if they don't have a crawl. And in these "Story" films all bets are off and I like the idea of trying new things.

July 15th trailer?!

3 minutes,,,and it will prob have several second fades of black. Some people are griping this is too much (It's July people, only 6 months left!) This really isn't that much. Before TFA we had the 88 second teaser in Dec with and another 2 min teaser trailer after that in April. Here we are in July and only had one just under 2 min teaser for Rogue One

Can’t make it to London for Star Wars Celebration Europe? Not a problem — The Star Wars Show and StarWars.com are bringing the galaxy’s biggest party this side of the Ewok Village to you.

The Star Wars Show LIVE, streaming from Star Wars Celebration Europe beginning Friday, July 15, through Sunday, July 17, will feature celebrity guests, interviews with Star Wars creators, must-see panels, and much more. Andi Gutierrez and Peter Townley of The Star Wars Show are set to host, bringing you all the action as it happens. Also livestreaming is the special Rogue One: A Star Wars Story panel (July 15, 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT), presented by Verizon, in which director Gareth Edwards will join Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and special guests for a discussion on the highly-anticipated film.

Keep an eye on StarWars.com for more details on The Star Wars Show LIVE and Star Wars Celebration Europe!

I read in another forum that the Disney-owned US TV channel ABC would have announced that it will show a new Rogue One trailer on the 15th.
I find it likely that the new trailer will first be shown during the Rogue One panel at Celebration Europe 3 in London, just how they showed the TFA trailer at Celebration Anaheim.
The panel will be streamed live on the "Star Wars" channel on Youtube.

Wow, that description of Scarif sounds good, strip mined for the DeathStar!!! And ,after decades of waiting ,we finally see those long rumoured Imperial Dockyards with Star Destroyers in place. This sounds so exciting, takes me back to ANH when we were all so desperate to see what had happened in the battle before the Blockade Runner burst over Tatooine. This is thrilling in what it adds to the SW universe, a great story now gets to be told!!
