That does seem silly. I mean...bounty hunters hunt bounties, not chase after stolen McGuffins.
Total fan service.
Hey Disney. As great as it is to have more star wars, we'd also like NEW star wars. Maybe come up with an idea or two
Actually, I don't mind double casting at all. My point is that star wars has an endless supply of characters and stories in that endless galaxy.I got news for you guys, Disney doesn't care how you may feel about it. To be clear, for every OT fan who can't accept recasted characters or inclusion of old side characters in new content they will bring in 10 new fans who don't have as much baggage and familiarity with the past. SW is becoming a multi generational franchise and the first casualties will be the intransigent old hard core fans that can't let go. These stories are going to be fresh and new to so many people.
Let it be known that cad bane is a total badassI'm okay with Bossk and Dengar often working the same job(s) with Fett -- whether they're a crew or just responding to the same posting. I'm less sanguine including all the ESB bounty hunters. I do, however, like Cad Bane being there and look forward to seeing him in live-action. It'd be nice to have Aurra Sing back, too, to actually see her do something in a movie.

In my mind, han solo had no "role" in this tale until mos eisley. And turning boba fett into his lifelong nemesis, limits the galaxy, rather than expands it. Not to mention the fact that over exposure of fett kinda ruins the mystique.
I do, however, have a problem with Boba Fett being a central figure in the Clown Wars - I mean Clone Wars.
If that stays canon, the mystique is already ruined.
Anything to make the galaxy bigger is always the high road.
The way i see it is like this...it's not a massice coincidence they would be together. If you have high paying jobs for very specific work, you get the highly paid guys in there to try and get the job done before the others. Big bonus for a mission accomplished on top of the credits they would receive to just be on payroll.
When Ben Kenobi referenced the Clone Wars to Luke in '77, I imagined some kind of slave revolt, like BladeRunner.
In fact, everything I imagined as a kid was vastly superior to the bile GL tried to pass off as Star Wars with the prequels.
I have hope for the new movies, though. Even if they're awful, they can't be as bad as the prequels.
