Roger that, Velveeta Knuckle Underwear - A Hot Shots Build

Well, after a month or so of planning and finding all the right parts, here they are. Build time is under 3 days. But it was the most fun 3 days. It was nice just building something straight from the box with no fiddly parts.

The "Oscar" is a 1/72 Matchbox Folland Gnat Mk.I trainer. The bogie is a 1/72 Starfix T-38 Talon. I'm missing the wing-mounted sidewinders, but I'm in the process of looking for them. "THE NAVY" was done with dry transfer decals. I had to cut out each letter and then apply it to the plane - what a headache.

I know they're not perfect, but it's hard finding things to make them exact. I'm lucky I got as close as I did.

It was a nice little distraction from the normal behemoths that I build.

But, now that they're finished, it's back to the never ending black widow :cry :lol
