Animation has had plenty of unknown geniuses - from the directors, artists and storymen of Walt Disney's early features to the sly hands behind the silent pornographic cartoon Buried Treasure - but few were more obscure, or more important, than Alexander Anderson, who died Friday at 90 in Carmel, Calif. Anderson created the characters Rocky the flying squirrel, Bullwinkle Moose and Dudley Do-Right, and the vaudeville-style format, for the 1959 animated program Rocky and His Friends and its 1961 spin-off The Bullwinkle Show, known collectively as The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show.

In the early days of Comic-con we treated these folks like Gods.

Mr. Anderson, June Foray and Dawes Butler were regulars.

RIP.

Well, CO-created with Jay Ward.
Link doesn't work, so I don't know if the article makes the omission.
RIP...

That sucks.

My dad started me watching that show before I was old enough to speak.

Pretty sure it's where I developed my love of dry humor.

"Bullwinkle: Well, if you can't believe what you read in a comic book, what can you believe?"

I used to watch this show in the morning before going to school:( I miss those times.

I own 22 episodes on 16mm film. Including the full Upsidasium and Moon Munching Mice stories.

(y)thumbsup

At leat June Foray is still alive( age 93!). Twlight Zone: Talking Tina was her! And she voiced some kids in Jaws!!
