Robot/cyborg costume Ideas Help??

Okay, I own a haunted attraction, it's called The Lab...we have everything, from genetically altered freaks to dinosaurs.
I built a Cyborg lab last year and had a scientist attack this fence that separated the patrons with a "welder". Actuall he just raked the fence creating sparks.

This year I want to make a cyborg costume and have a robot shoot the customers with an air gun...Makes a loud machine gun rat-a-tat and hits them with blasts of air.

Trouble is, no idea what to do...I need to make this cheaply (no more $$ for the prop budget.)

I'm NOT looking for the Fridge box robot.

Could be endokeleton like, or just a made up robot...I have some ideas but with out contaminating the thread, I'd like to hear what others think.

I definantly want a helmet or mask of some sort...perhaps something already out there I can modify...

What do you guys think?

Have you considered the Terminator voice changer mask? The things are going on clearence at Target lately.

Probably by laying emphasis on the skeleton in "Endoskeleton".

A cheapo human skeleton and then add as much metal and electronics junk you can find onto it, giving him a electronics-laden chest with blinking lights Probably half of that Terminator mask Glim talked about could be mounted onto it´s skull ! A few ragged clothes and lights in his eye sockets, maybe one of those cheap plastics limbs partially covering up bones.

Are you wanting a costume, or a free-standing model? You mentioned both a cyborg and a robot.

Something that could be done for fairly cheap would be a sort of Frankenstein cyborg type suit (I'm thinking along the lines of the Adam cyborg from Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Find a body suit, like from The Incredibles, cover in latex and paint details on. Then just cut and insert pieces of old electronics and gubbins into the suit, a few large staples, some metal plates. For the face, a half mask would be good, allow them to see one eye.

Maybe? A haunted attraction sounds like a brilliant thing to own.

It will be an actor worn costume and not a prop. Just don't know if I want it to be a cyborg costume or more like a robot.

I was also thinking of getting a motocross chest protector, repainting it and adding wires and do dads...not sure if it'll work.

It will if you break it up in the middle and show a few chest bones with lights and cables and rotten meat and maggots.

For the head I may try what Frosty did for his kids teminator costume, endoskull mask, covered with a cut up Michael Myers mask...his looks good hoping to do mine justice

You could use these cyborg tattoos for that injured Terminator look:

Not sure how much you're going for the Terminator type cyborg, but they can really dress up the look quickly.
