Robocop's car

I'm surprised it took this long for them to sell it. Last time I went to Volo they had it "stored" outside.

A reply on the post mentions Phil Tippet saying they built another car for Robocop but the suit didnt fit in it (!)
Is this true? are there any pics of this other car?

Something like this maybe

I remember seeing pics of it under construction, the original robocruiser was being built off of a late 70's camaro.

I missed out...broken link for me.

Not a Ford fan myself, but the counter I always hear is "First On Race Day."

I'm a Pontiac man myself.

A guy in NJ years ago redid one to look like the movie version when he got a Robocop suit. It was very popular among police departments when they had fundraisers and such.

i just saw this this weekend at Volo. I sure hope all the "ROBOCOP" decals and stickers I saw all over it are removable..

I like how George Barris' signature is plastered all over cars that he had nothing to do with. :rolleyes

I hate to say it, but many, if not all the cars at these car museums are replicas. Every car museum
claims these cars to be original yet I doubt there are THAT MANY original cars even used in these
movies or TV shows.

Oh, and the lightbar on the roof is to far forward compaired to the original movies car photo's and it's
also not wide enough. Here is a screen shots of the original car.

That Barris signature car isn't the one that's for sale.
The car in the listing looks like it has the correct lightbar and emblems.

The original car utilized a Digicom computer which was similiar to one I had in my patrol vehicle in Oakland. Also, Barris does a lot of tv vehicles, and the one that is signed could have been off of the Robocop TV Series, and not the "movies", thus the noted decal, lightbar, differences. Just my 2 cents
