hey guys, got an early surprise this morning. this new robocop head kit arrived...
i am blown away by the quality of the sculpt, it actually looks and feels that its been machined. very very crisp and almost no clean up at all. the visor on mine has been removed as i want to install a dark lense, i hope to use one of those tare off type motorcycle things.
anyway... the face part is outstanding and get this. you know how you get sculpts that have skin pours on the surface right? well this is one step beyond that....it actually has what appears to be directional individual skin cells not just some holes dimpled across the surface:eek
im gonna push the boat out here and say this is the best quality fan made prop replica i have ever bought!
plus pete is a very nice guy to deal with:thumbsup
now some of you might think im not bad at knocking up a robot head or 2 but im also going to say this work is beyong my abilities. i mean that:redface
how he manage to get the writing on the side of the helmet done ill never know. i cant find any flaws.
i understand a lot of time went into this and it shows. please do not contact me about getting one, please contact the maker. this isnt an interest thread mearly a sincere review of what i recieved.
sorry for the crappy pics but i gave out my digicam over the holiday period. you dont actually need any new pics as the ones already in the thread are good enough, but heres a couple anyway. im running out of space on my tv unit! :lol
thanks pete!
hello chaps,
i hope to be getting one of these head kits in a few days. a friend of mine has sculpted one of the most impressive clean sharp props ive seen in a long time.
im not a robocop fan at all but i do like the character. i dont think its movie accurate but its such a nice piece i just dont care.
i include pics of the head as a work in progress, some shots of a trimmed kit and a piece painted by the sculpter.
if only all prop replicas were as clean as this when they come outta the mold!
not sure of final price.
