Rivets for lightsaber

I'm getting a 6.75mm head on the 1/8" rivets and that is closer to what i am getting on the scaling so if i had to make a choice, and i will eventually, i would go with 1/8". If you guys can't find any there and want some i'd be glad to get some and send them to whoever.

Edit, how about 4mm rivits? Any head dimensions for those?

And to bring more fun to the discussion

I just went down to my shop in the basement and measured some pop-rivets.

One brand of 3mm rivets has a 5,8mm "head", another brand has 6,1mm
The only brand i have of 4mm rivets has a 7,5mm "head".

So, you better go with your caliper to the toolshop/homedepot, and measure the available brands until you find the one that´s close to the needed size. :lol:lol:lol

That ESB saber in that pic has 7.5 heads and the other pics are 1/8". I just checked with my Linhof clip which should be the same as the Kobold and i am also getting 7.5 but i only get it in the ESB pic.

I only checked the "snow-pic" with the real clip - as i´m not convinced that the other is a "real" one. Isn´t the saber with the reddish and rounded t-track the one that was build to give it to Kurtz?

Founds some philips head screws on the ESB grips.

could you reduce some for reference? :)

My main thing with the rivets is I can't see the pins in there, only holes. All rivets I've seen have pins in them that have been snapped off.

You can either use 'water-tight' pop rivets with the pull-pin intact, or regular pop rivets where the pull-pin is designed to come out on the second pull leaving the hole in the middle.

Ok i tried and this is about as good as i can get. They are philips screws in the snow sabers grips but it is hard to get a shot of the whole head where the X is visible. In the first pic you can just barely see the screw in the grip at the 4 oclock position and in the second pic you can just make out the screw on the grip at the 3 o clock position.

Well "blow me down with a feather!" I never expected such amazingly informative and educational aswers! THANK YOU so much to everyone! My head is still spinning......

OK, I'll see what I can find here in the UK. If I have no luck I wil take you up on that offer Zombie Killer, if that still stands.

If I do find the right ones I will post the info of where to get them and exactly what I bought for other UK members. Oh, and thanks for the tip Lichtbringer, I'll be sure to go with calipers in hand!

Well done on the photos, very interesting . I guess ideally, we need someone with a Blu-Ray player on their PC to take some screen caps, but I think we get the message!

A HUGE thank you again, chaps. Really came through on this one.
