RIP: Jonathan Demme

Director Jonathan Demme has succumbed to cancer and heart problems (quite the double whammy). He was 73.

I saw him and Denzel shooting The Manchurian Candidate remake in Manhattan about a dozen years ago. I think my fav of his work was Melvin and Howard back in the day.

I'm a huge Talking Heads fan and Stop Making Sense is a fave. Not only is it my favorite concert film, but it also doesn't feel at all like a concert film. This is a huge loss.
