RIP James Caan

He was unforgettable as Sonny in the Godfather but for me Caan as Frank in Thief and Johnathan E in Rollerball will always be his standout roles.
RIP.

Thief is one of my favs, too. Alas, that and William Friedkin's equally good Sorcerer with Roy Scheider are both top shelf films that seem to be forgotten.

When Sonny got mowed down I cried
When Jonathan won I cheered
When I found out he was on Santa's naughty list I laughed

So many great movies..
I loved him in Freeby and the Bean..
There's a great interview with him on Marc Maron's WTF podcast where he tells some great stories about his life and some that might suprise you.

RIP
