This came as a huge shock. Still can't believe it. One thing that helps is seeing all the tributes to him on social media. Seems like everyone who knew him really enjoyed being around him and that even people who met him ever so briefly felt that way. People like that don't come along very often. So sad when we lose one too soon.
We as the RPF are working on a tribute object for Grant in which the proceeds would benefit a charity of his liking. We are in touch with his family and very close friends to determine where the proceeds would go. Rest assured, Grant will be immortalized. He was one of us. 100%
what a career, what a great guy. what a sad day for us all in the prop community, after watching adam's podcast... he was that "friend in a million". RIP Grant Imahara.
Was fortunate to work with him two or three times a year for five years doing Star Trek Continues. Eminently approachable and friendly and down to earth and helpful.
Just...cannot...comprehend...this. Shocked beyond believe. What the heck...
Rest in Peace,Grant. You went way too soon, but you will never be forgotten.Your legacy lives on.Always.
Hated to hear this news, but the positive I can take away is this... Do what you love, do what you're called to do, & be as kind as possible while doing it. His is the type of legacy everyone should strive to leave behind.
Attn Mods. I think it would be a great gesture to change the RPF Background banner in memory of Grant for a few days to commemorate his contribution to our community. He was one of us after all. Something tastefull to say 'Until next time'.
