RIP Bob Anderson

Saw him last year in "Reclaiming the Blade" and the thought passed my mind - "its not too long now". Sad to see him pass away. He left a great legacy for us to admire.

Sad to hear of Bob's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of years ago and although he was very frail he showed himself to be a real gentleman.

I was just stunned on the magnitude of fantastic movies he was a part of... how I never knew that before...

He was also a long time resident of Ottawa when he was director for the Canadian Fencing Association. I remember meeting him at the Nepean Sportsplex in the late '80s. RIP Bob!

He looks like Harry Dean Stanton here.

He also was the sword choreographer for Highlander.
He was a part of many of my favorite movies.
He left a great legacy.

His personal favorite was the Princess Bride. RIP, Bob

My first thought was whether he was the one who choreographed TPB. When I think of a swordfight, the Star Wars fights don't pop into my mind... TPB does. The left-hand/right-hand business, both to start and then later in the fight to do it seamlessly while trading blows... The man was a master, and the world is somehow a little less now.

RIP Bob.

Did any of you watch SNL on this past weekend's Weekend Update with Seth Meyers? I think they really made his death out to be a joke and didn't think it was really inappropriate.

"The Olympic swordsman who performed Darth Vader’s fight scenes in Star Wars died this week at the age of 89 after a long battle with his son."
