One of my comedy Heroes has passed away.

Bernard Joseph Cribbins OBE an English actor and singer whose career spanned seven decades. In the 1960s he was known for his 7 inch records "The Hole in the Ground" and "Right Said Fred" He appeared in various comedy films including Two-Way Stretch and the well known Carry On movies.
He was the befuddled Policeman who looking to report a crime ends up in the wrong telephone box in Dr Who Daleks 2150 and later came back in the TV series Dr Who as Wilf, Donna Nobles grandfather He was also in The Railway children with Jenny Agutter.
He also turned up in various Horror Anthologies and was the voice of the wombles here in the UK

RIP

Edit: Donna not Rose

He was Wilfed Mott, Donna Noble's grandfather in Doctor Who. Not Rose's.

He was some of what made Tennant's run so awesome. Will be surely missed.
