This is going to be epic, judging by the Q&A answers from Scott and Kinderegg there is a lot to look forward to in this movie, inc plenty of ches tbursting movie moments to scare but not chest bursting though.

I cant stop watching the trailer, the image above looks like it could be the muriel that Giger did for the movie?

Part of me is excited to see it and another part is a little apprehensive. I for one, always liked the mystery of the Space Jockey, seemingly growing out of a chair that defies explanation. Any attempt to explain it has a very good possibility of leaving me saying "oh....uh...is that all it was..." But we'll see.

Wish I had stayed away from all things Prometheus for the last few days.. that leaked image of the Jockey spoiled the surprise, I would have preferred to have my socks blown off by seeing it for the first time in the trailer.

Still.. gets the gears turning. I've already watched the trailer half a dozen times, including on the big screen downstairs (epic!!). I've got some theories about revelations and some plot elements that I've written up, it should be interesting to see how close I was come June 8th.

I have probably watched it about 60 times, at 2 min a pop, it's like I've seen the movie already NOT ! Really can't wait, definitely going to the midnight show, or 11:59 or what ever they want to call it...

Oh. My. Goodness! :love Absolutely awesome and I have to agree with many of you that this is my most anticipated movie of the year.. and yeah.. More so than the Avengers. Looks fantastic!!! *watches the trailer again*

Visually I'm giving it 7 out of 10. Great spaceship but that egg room does not impress me at all. Still, the old Scottian tension appears in evidence, at least in the last half of the trailer - lots of people sweating and shaking and even doing so in their underwear. This is good. However, just once I'd like to see an SF movie trailer come out that doesn't have dialogue that makes me groan out loud - the breathless, cutesy 'I think they want us to come and find them', the Lord of the Ringsy first voice we hear burbling about kings etc. Wtf? Sounds like the beginning of The Fellowship of The Ring. What's this stuff doing in an Alien movie by Scott??

I'm even more in two minds about going to see it now than I was after the teaser trailer. Struggling with the jockey-explanation bum trip as it is, but now we've heard some of the dialogue, my faith in this is even more compromised.

but...but...but...MINDBLOWING VISUALS!!!! If that isn't I'll-be-in-my-bunk level sci-fi eye candy I don't know what is. I'm giving it a cautious pass on story terms; we know it's von Daniken nonsense and screws with the purity of the Jockey concept but the tradeoffs look potentially worth it - as you say, that level of tension looks great and I'm on board to find out exactly what "we were so wrong!" really entails. Wrong about the map? The "invitation" being that, and not something much darker...what? I wanna know!
