We have been discussing it a bit on the Rey alternate costume thread
Just wanted to pop in and say thanks again to EVERYONE who has contributed to this thread over the months, because all of that research, suggestions, sourcing and details...this just in today!!! :-D (I'm not stoked, and definitely not careening around in little circles making weird noises). Nope.
You guys rock!

It just needs to be accurate and yes, I'm sure there's a percentage that should be made but I don't know it, since mine was all homemade. They were much less strict than most of the posts here. I'm very excited to finally be a part of the RL, especially since I already spend so much time with them, and really enjoy all of the charity events they attend, and giving back to the community, sick children, and fans at large events. To each their own, I guess. Personally, I'm very proud to be an official member of Bespin Base/ Georgia Garrison now, and looking forward to being able to do formal events and not just informal, with the very active membership here. That may not be for some people, though.
ATLGurl9225, what changes were you asked to make? I am going for as movie-accurate as possible, but haven't heard what accessories are needed for RL approval.
I have the full basic outfit, head piece, staff, bracer, belt, boots, hip pack, but no goggles or gloves yet. This forum has been an invaluable resource (especially Division6!)
thanks for any advice on minimum approval needs!
Thanks, it is for my daughter and she is about 5'3" so 3 metres would probably be plenty, we are going for accuracy that is good to know re the splice. so I am in the process of making the prototype out of some poly I have here, but wanted to get the fabric ordered as soon as they have it back in stock. Thanks so much!If you want the wrap dress to be one continuous piece it would be around 5 meters. However if you're going to add the splice (which is movie accurate) then probably only about 2.5 or 3 meters. It will depend on your height a little bit too.
It'd be best to get some scrap fabric and a tape measure and check yourself how much you'd need.

You will probably have to alter the lengths to fit your figure.
I see you're in the BA.
There should be Tandy stores near by as well as a leather shop in Oakland.
