Been meaning to do this for a while, but haven't had the time or the ability. Now that I am pretty much healed up and have some spare time (even early in the mornin), I wanted to post this up. I apologize for the lack of pics, but my batteries are charging at the moment, and I will update the thread with pics at a later date.
I picked up this ring last year in the JY, from darthinvictus .
Basically, all I can say is WOW. The ring is made of brass, so when you polish it, it comes out looking like bright gold. The symbol is clear and the finish on the "bottom" of the symbol is sort of a matte finish, which helps the symbol really pop on the ring.
Another bonus is that the ring is made of brass, and is all one color. That means if you want to resize the ring, you can if you can find someone who works with brass (or ask darthinvictus to resize it for you) and you don't have to worry about the paint or color being off.
The ring is heavy, and successfully survived a rather large fall without any damage whatsoever. That is more than I can say about myself :lol.
The only suggestion I have for this is if you buy one, grab some clear fingernail polish if you want to wear the ring, and coat it. Keeps the brass shiny and keeps your finger from being a weird color. You don't have to coat the outer ring if you don't want, but just doing the inner band where your finger will be is good enough.
It's really a great piece, and it's a terrific addition to my collection. It would go great with my kyle ring if I could remember what the hell I did with it :confused
If you are wanting a sinestro corp ring, and are on the fence about this one... just trust me and pick it up. The ring kicks all kinds of ass, and it looks great on the prop shelf.
The only drawback is it makes me want the other colors as well :lol
