A couple weeks ago I found out there was a half off sale on the Star Wars stuff on shopecko.com, so I checked it out. I had seen pictures of the stormtrooper hoodie, but thought it was way too bright and obvious to wear in everyday life. Also, I saw the picture of the hood zipped up and didn't want anybody to confuse me with the KKK.
So I take a look at the site and discover the Boba Fett hoodie. It's way less "LOOK AT ME!" and I think they did a pretty good job on accuracy. It's not SA by anyone's standards, but it looks good for what it is. It was only $50, so I ordered one.
It finally arrived today and I was pretty impressed with the quality. I'm not a huge fan of the style of stitching, all the edges and seams look like the bottom of a t-shirt. I'm really glad I ordered the medium and not the large. Depending on sleeve length, those are the two sizes I have to choose between for shirts. I actually called customer service to ask them about length and they recommended the large, but I got the medium anyway and it paid off. I assumed it would fit larger than your average article of clothing because of the company that makes it, they don't exactly market to the crowds of people who like their pants to stay up on their own. Anyways, on to the pictures: (sorry for the terrible quality. The rechargeable batteries in my camera are really old and only hold a charge long enough to take and rip about 5 pictures.)
It's got paint chips screen printed on it to simulate the look of the armor. However, the paint chips are present on the undersuit part as well.
I can't say I'm really a fan of the hood design. This one doesn't zip up like the stormtrooper one, so they designed it to make it look good as a hood and not faithfully replicate the actual helmet. As a result it's only vaguely Boba Fett-ish.
I particularly like the embroidery on the sleeve. Very nicely done.
This hoodie is very warm. The hood has two separate layers of material, the decorative outside and a sort of mesh knit liner. Overall, this hoodie was DEFINITELY worth the $50, I recommend you pick one up if you're a fan of Star Wars and hoodies as they're not making them anymore.
