Revell SnapTite X-Wing 2 Day Build
Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted.
Here is a quick build of a Revell X-Wing I literally just finished.
The only mods I did with this model is added the tubes on the sides and a few greeblies in the cockpit.

I was a little heavy handed spraying the red on the wings and it bled a little. I'll touch it up later.
Compared to the original which is SO yellow, ugh.
I'm looking to keep it light grey and use my washes to deepen the color.
Fresh off the factory floor !

and more masking and painting....
Getting the engines on and weathering with some wash.
Washing, letting it sit for a minute or two and wipe off with a damp cloth.
I've seen plenty of weathering "go wrong" with models, especially X-Wings, so I'm trying to really keep it light.
Back soon to finish it up.

Working on the display now. Just decided to do a simple wooden, black base. I found some plastic straws at Hobby Lobby that worked great for a last minute rod to hold the model up.
And here's final comparison with the kit out of the box.
Just added a little red to the engines.
Thanks for checking this out ! It was a fun quick little build.
