Return Of The Jedi In Concert: Feb 27/28/29

I saw the Cleveland Orchestra perform the EMPIRE score live WITH the film and it was truly magnificent. I would go to that event 100 times more. There were 5 screens. I could walk and interact with other people while still seeing the movie along with a LIVE score that seamlessly blended with the film.

That sounds amazing! I saw Star Wars in Concert back in 2009. It wasn't exactly the same as these but Anthony Daniels hosted and to hear John Williams masterful themes from a live orchestra and chorus was an experience I will never forget.

I fondly remember that in our city. I was surprised at the turnout. People of all ages attended. Several filming props and costumes were also there.

Same here. I saw quite a few costumes, props, and even some of John Williams original sheet music on display.

At the concert today. I’m really looking forward to this! (y)

SWIC in Orlando was one of the last few times I rocked the Vader fits. When the live orchestra-accompanied Star Wars/Ep IV/A New Hope came to town a couple of years ago, we went to that, too. Truly amazing experience with that added component.

My city is behind, we only just had ESB. Looking forward to ROTJ next year. ;)

There was so much music scored and recorded for ESB that was left out in the final edit----while I don't know about adding it back to the film permanently, I think in this case it would have been appropriate for the orchestra to play it during the appropriate scenes. Oh well.

The movies weren't that great, but if they do this with the Prequels, I'd go. They had a lot of things going against them, but the music was the last time I think John Williams was genuinely great.

I was at the 29 Feb performance in Denver - the Colorado Symphony Orchestra knocked it out of the ballpark! Amazing, outstanding performance, they hit every beat, and sounded just absolutely spot-on! SO much fun (Thanks Jinny!)!

Wow, didn’t realize there were so many CO members!

We saw ESB last year and were blown away. Sadly, we missed ROTJ due to personal conflicts, but glad you guys enjoyed it!
