Here’s part number one. The lower half of this is printing right now. The tanks will get printed in 2 halves, but everything else will be in one piece. Resin is much easier and cleaner to sand than fdm, so perfectly smooth surfaces should be fairly easy. I’ll post pictures as this progresses.

Those prints are looking great.

If it's a 3D model you can always merge things together before printing.
True, but I already bought the files for the version I have. I missed Veepy’s free files some how. If this version comes out poorly I’ll print Veepy’s. Should have the top part of one tank done today. Stay tuned….

Top is done. Mostly a clean print with two small pits in the cone. An easy fix though. I’m sure everybody knows this but I’ll mention it anyway, warm water really helps with the support removal. The whole underside was supports and it came off in one big piece easily.

Very sharp(y) As for the warm water trick: are you only dipping the supports I guess, so they can be detached faster from the main piece?

I lied…. The hardest part is after 38 hours my print looks like this! I think my fep sheet was worn out. New one installed and back at it. Fortunately the QC Inspector was on the case to make sure I didn’t F it up.
Fingers crossed!

The lower half of the left engine. It didn’t quite match the shape of the upper half, so I added strip styrene to aid in the alignment. Using resin (a lot!) they are fused together and line up cleanly. Unfortunately my lcd screen on the printer is done, so I’m down until the new one arrives….

Work well and look the part. Btw, I think your "Soggy Seattle" doesn't work anymore; it should read "Heat Dome Seattle" instead;)
