Resin health hazards?

Hi guys I'm really new here and have been reading up a bit and see that fibreglass resin is quite toxic, am I ok to use this stuff in my garage with a respirator? I have read on 405th that some people say the fumes will soak into everything in the house... Surely this can't be true if its in the garage? There's no real health hazards about fumes on the tin

Many thanks in advance

Use epoxy reisin , not polyester resin .... u smell the different :)

eposy resin doesnt require respirator ...just use gloves beacause its not healthy for your skin

Yeah, polyester resin will stink everything out. And you must use a respirator. I just had a friend who does a lot of boat fibreglass sing and he's had some terrible health problems due to the fumes and not wearing his respirator enough.

Cheers guys I'll look into that next time but for now am I ok using what I've got at the minute indoors (garage)

Why notopen your garage door for better ventilation? Respirator is a must either PU (polyurethane) or epoxy resin.
You need to worry about fiberglass particles too!

And do not forget the gloves. Read the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for anything you use.
