I thought about to put the tubes into the oven, maybe they stay in their shape...?!? Maybe spray-painted (high glossy) metal would work, too...

Purchased some acrylic tubes today... Now I need just the aluminum end caps... with a dia of 3,6 cm or plastic end caps... anyone have an idea?

I know it's not accurate as the " aquarium " hoses are used in the movie , but some of " silly straw " can be heated with a heat gun and rolled around a 1/2" copper plumb pipe . Also it has a good colour for this kind of project ( x-tra low budget )
