Republic Commando - Omega Squad helmet done

I finally got around to finishing my Omega Squad Republic Commando helmet. I did find it hard to take a good picture of a black helmet, inside with a flash :rolleyes
But here is a couple shot, and one of it at home in the shelf. I even managed a bit of progress on some of the others that have been "in progress" for awhile.

Thanks,. They are IKEA Detolf cabnets - I love them and want to get 2 more before the stop making them (not that they are, but they will someday- they have been selling them for a good 4-5 years)

Very cool! I'm glad someone is doing Omega helmets! I think in the first book they also smeared mud on their armor, so you could make a variant! :lol

Awesome job. Those guys are definately my favorite characters from the prequel era. The books are so well written and the characters are just good guys. You should send the pics to Karen Traviss.

Thanks all. A lot of the credit goes to PA (and to Eric) for making great RC helmets and selling the kits at a fantastic price. :thumbsup

There is something nice about the simple nature of the all black paint, and the fun of weathering it. No worrying about stripes, decals or the like.

I will send pictures to Karen, great idea.
I have spoken to her a few time just to express my thanks for the books and her quality of writing (and to admit to her my having to question why I was so surprised that a woman writes a better Military based book them 99% of men - really sad since my dad AND my mom were both in the Army):rolleyes
