Finished this paint Monday, just need to add the greeblies. The paint is a little darker, the flash washed it out some.

Nice weathering. The simple color scheme is very effective. Are you doing the whole armor?

very nice.

What's the rest of the armor's paint scheme?

Thanks for the comments. Yes I am doing the whole costume, it will be just simple gray, no major customizing.

Awesome...did you paint over a silver basecoat?

Got some closeup pics of the scratches?

Hey that's a pretty good beehive helmet.. Looks like he blocked some blaster bolts with his head. :lol Great work jedistine.

Here's my back pack it's done also. But I might spray the handles with Plasti-cote
to give them rubber grip look.

I cut a 4"x4" hole in the back of the pack, that will be hidden when it is attached to the armor. Glue in pieces of ABS with "Plastic weld", behind the butted up seam, then Bondo the seam and sand till smooth.
Since there are so many angles there's a lot of small pieces of ABS inside.

Hi there, after just posting a thread enquiring about Republic Commando helmets I roll my little mouse wheel down a bit further and what do I see?

Wow. :eek

That is extremely impressive workmanship and finishing.

Will you, by any chance, be offering raw casts of the helmet for sale...?

I can imagine everybody else seeing my thread, dropping down to yours and thinking "unobservant, or what?"

Sigh...

Thanks... Dalroi

I just painted the helmet, I did not cast it. It came with the armor kit I purchased.
