Question Reply to one person when original message was sent to multiple?

When you get a PM (now called "conversation") that was sent to several people, is there a way to only reply to the sender, and not to all the people the original message was sent to?

Concrete example: RelicMaker sends a payment request to all people that are interested in a run. I want to reply that I have paid, but can only send my reply to all people RelicMaker has sent the message to, it seems?

To the best of my understanding, you would need to start a new conversation. Otherwise, everyone in the current conversation will see your response. Conversation now work more like a private thread, but anyone invited to that thread can read all the responses.
