Replicating tank treads

I want to make a life sized Robobrain from the fallout universe (no idea where i'll put him :lol) but I have no idea how to replicate the triangular tank treads that they have.

I've seen some real ones but they're not meant for this and weigh too much. Any ideas how i can replicate the treads and make a system so they work when you push the thing around? Its that or replicate them and put casters under it hidden away.

Cool. I didn't even think to hit the robot forums. For the most part he's gonna be pretty easy to make. I may try and find some rips of the voices they have and put a small speaker in it.
