Hi all

OK, here it is. Nearly finished. I just have to get some more accurate screws ;) I think they are a little too large and the ones that came with the kit, well, they went straight in the bin. :lol

Mods, this has previously been posted in the Junkyard for sale, but no-one seems to be able to match what it's worth (even in kit form) so I have decided to keep the beast. Plus I've warmed to it.

I know my past thread disappeared due to RPF issues with the 'maker' (if you can call him that.) etc..so please note, I cannot discuss what type of helmet this is, or where to get one. All other comments are welcome :)

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out in the end.

Cheers. Steve :D

very nice, looks almost like the real deal.

best thing you did was keep it ;)

It looks great. :thumbsup

What's with the red spots on the helmet - is that modelled after a particular su helmet?

Thanks.

Al, the red spots are on the original. There's the one on the front dome and one on the reverse. There may be more but I only have so many shots of the original.

I think it adds the the 'realness'.

Steve :p

Beautiful lid Steve :) .

Shame your not selling it anymore :(

It really catches the feel of the 'set for stun' :thumbsup

Top job

Just out of interest what paint did you use for the HDPE colour.

Cheers Chris.

Nice one Steve, that's just how I would have painted it :thumbsup

Are those screws the one's from B&Q? That's what I use anyway and just dab some white paint on the heads and they look OK. Looks like you've been busy on the interior too, very nice. I bet your glad you kept it now eh :p

Thank you very much guys.

Yes, I am glad I kept it in the end.

Paul. It HAD to be chipped up, there's now way that helmet was gonna be pristine. Yip, they are B&Q screws through and through. You should have seen the ones he sent me, laughable. :p

HDPE colour is 'Rover Champagne Beige'. It's a UK Halfords colour.

Cheers for the kind comments :)
