Update - Scroll down for better version :)

Hi there, I Knocked this up today as I'm doing pennywise this halloween, and I thought id share it with you lot. I found a screen grab of the playing card, and did some research into which type of card was modified with Pennywise added to it. Turned out to be a "Bicycle Rider Back" deck..I tried to clean it up in photoshop but had no luck..So I hand drew Pennywise, scanned him in and pasted him over the top of a "Bicycle Rider Back" image I found on the web..Im pretty pleased with it..but I have bought a new deck of cards and im planning on scanning the back of one to get it a bit more realistic looking..Then ill get some custom personalised cards printed with this on the back..

That is damn good. Would you mind if I pass this onto a friend who sells Pennywise Puppet's? Nothing that would increase his prices or anything but would be cool to add on as a tag of some sort with your permission of course.

Looks nice. :thumbsup

The ruff around his neck should not have the white "glow" around the edge (as his hair does) though.

Thats brilliant, if you ever do a run let me know, i do two different pennywise masks, be great to throw this in as an extra

Fell free to use it however you wish Guys..Thats what this forums all about :)..And ill be making a higher resolution image as soon as my "Bicycle Rider Back" Cards Arrive in the post...then ill get some made up as a proper card.

I remember seeing your Pennywise masks on other forums im a member of...They are awesome...If you dont mind me askin where did you buy the red hair from for you masks? I have been looking everywhere for a decent wig for my costume..and unfortunately none of them have the right look im after..Pennywise has a bulge ontop of his head..Ive managed to replicate this by spending a whole £1 ( I bought a Penny"wise" Floater football, cut it to shape like a bald cap..Flipped it inside out so its all white..and when its put on your head it fills with air and is a perfect shape for pennywise..so I'm after the red hair to go around it now..any help would be appreciated :)...and have you never thought about just casting the top of the head and selling pennywise wigs??

Looking forward to your next version and thanks for permission to use freely.

This is what I was thinking of adding that playing card to as a tag or depending on the run distribute 1 playing card with each. A guy I know manufactures this "IT" puppet.

I love that puppet...Fantastic likeness...I Saw it while doing research into my Pennywise costume..Ill keep you updated when I Get the final Card done...Ive also found a company that prints a pack of cards with custom images front and back for £15 for one pack...Thats 54 cards for £15 which aint all that bad..but im sure i can probably find a cheaper supplier somewhere :)

thanks, the pack of cards sounds like a good idea
As for the hair on my pennys i use long haired red fur fabric, put on in layers from the bottom up, then i backcomb it to get a bit more height, seems to work well

Update:- Heres the newer Version..I have a high res version im willing to share if anyone can point me in the direction of a good host to use :) This version was done using a scanned in card and then tweaking my previous effort..also has a texture filter ontop to make it look more like a playing card..but the quality is lost on this image posted..I scanned the Ace of Spades front aswell for you all to use with it :)

As I say they lost a fair bit of sharpness as you can see some bleeding around the edges when I uploaded them to my facey account to host them..

Hope you like them anyways :)

Great Job!

I don't think there is a blur around the Pennywise head though. The border is probably the same hard edge style as the inside border.

The rest of the design has no blur so it looks out of place and photoshopish to me.

Its not actually a blur..I used a hard edge brush and painted white around the top of the head..but for some reason as I did state on earlier posts there has been a lack of quality and colour bluring around the sharp edges when uploading it to facebook. Original is over 1200dpi and i think facebook displays at about 200dpi or something. You can notice it clearly on the Ace of spades card...Ill have a look and see if it can be ammended and uploaded to another site :) Cheers for the replies and I'm glad you like it...and I'm sure when shrunk to card size it wouldn't be so blurry..

You know Bicycle will do a custom run for you - that way the cards will be cut even and have the smooth finish.

The United States Playing Card Company

Cheers for the link but they only do a minimum order of 100 packs and I cant justify the need for 5400 replica cards and the price of $600+..lol.. Ill stick to an individul pack of 54 from a supplier I found who does personalised cards with image front and back for £15 :)

That's great. If I ever get around to another custom Pennywise figure, I'll make sure to get a custom blister card made, so I can stick one of these in as a "pack-in." I'd love to see the masks. Thanks for sharing the puppet as well.
