Replica Ep 4 Obi saber from early 2000's?

Hi, I purchased this saber in the early 2000's, I believe around 2002 from someone on here (rpf) who made a run of them. I believe it was Larry Larbel, but I could be wrong. I believe it was he because I also purchased, around that same time period (a year or so before), a graflex he did, as well as an Obi episode 1 hilt he made. I am looking for any additional info that might be out there about this hilt. It is quite hefty! It is only a static hilt as there is a threaded steel rod that runs through the center.

Maybe the Graflex clamp is a Larbel, but I don't recall he ever did this saber. Given the time period it could be a SD Studios, a Parks, or possibly a Darth Hez.

I had one from the original run that SD Studios did back around that time:

It could possibly be from a later (slightly more accurate) run that he did?

The emitter looks like it might be the same, with the secondary ring of holes down inside. And there's also the same use of Phillips head screws instead of transistors.

Great pics! Thank you for sharing. It looks like my emitter has a thinner plate for the outter most holes. Is your assembled the same way, with the threaded rod?

i remember parks and romansempire did verisons too... I wasn't around for the RPF runs though, I go back to 2009

the rusty looking grenade and the phillips screws with brass washers are new to me, I don't remember seeing those

I remember that you could order it weathered or un weathered. I think the grenade came rusty looking Bc I ordered weathered. Wish I could remember who I ordered it from.

Awesome, thats a cool bit of the prop replica community's history. Was the double ring of holes a commonly accepted thing at the time?

I think at that time no one really knew for sure what was inside the emitter. I'm not sure we had high enough resolution images from that angle to see exact detail.

You can also see the flange ring (not sure what it's called) is flat on mine, but the real Derwent balance pipe has a curved inward ring.
