Replica Bond Omega Seamaster sources?

maybe because recasters are trying to pass of a recast as "their own work" or "screen used/authentic" but for the most part these watch websites are letting you know well up front that these are replica watches...

which by the way I'm looking for a replica of the --

Ulysse Nardin Series Maxi Marine Diver

so if anyone knows of a good replica somewhere I would love to know about it.

Why is it, you're all so quick to scream-down recasters but have no problem whatsoever recommending fake watch manufacturers? It's quite bizarre. :rolleyes
[/b]

As NWJediDave said, I guess it's because recasters are lying about the source of their work and duping people into buying replicas they believe are "first-gen".

Generally, no one going to these watch web sites is "duped" into thinking they're getting a real Rolex or TAG.

Please forgive this hijack, but if anyone gets a line on a replica J & K watch from MiB, PLEASE let me know.

My boss picked up a Omega Seamaster replica in New York for me today. She paid 50 bucks for it. She says it looks really nice. I can't wait to see it. I'll post a review when I get it.

I have bought through these guys. It takes a while to get your watch, but they are pretty damn nice. I have had mine for about 7-8 months wihtout a problem... I also own a real two-tone Submariner Rolex and I tend to wear my fake more often. They have Omegas.

You're all missing the point:

Replica watches are fakes and as such are in direct violation of intellectual property. The entity that sells them are making money off another company's hard work in designing them in the first place - regardless of whether the buyer is aware or not.

2¢...

I don't think so. I think everyone understands that buying an unauthorized replica lets someone else profit from someone else's intellectual property.

If that was always a "bad" thing (at least to people here), this forum pretty much wouldn't exist. This forum is FILLED with unauthorized replicas which allow people to profit from someone else's intellectual property. The difference, as explained, is that no one is really trying to fool anyone else. That's usually not the case with recasters.

Ok, I'm kinda with you there in some respects. I guess it's largely up to the watch manufacturers to issue and persue 'cease and desist' orders. They're big enough players.

I don't think they are that interested. The reason being, litigation takes money. They'd be spending money trying to stop something that really doesn't hurt their business that much. Someone who buys a $100 fake instead of the real thing probably was never going to buy a real one in the first place. Otherwise, they would have. They know that the market for these things are people who will never be able to afford their products. And they never know...someone who sees a fake on someone's arm and likes it...and can afford a real one might just be a new customer.

So using this logic, it would be ok for me to purchase something from someone on this board and then make copies of it to sell as long as I clearly stated that I was copying someone elses work? Just playing the devil's advocate here.

I have come familiar with this watch maker... I was introduced to hotreplica.com Since discovering this link to Hotreplica They said it would delver as expeced between 4-6 weeks... on any watch I like.

I asked about fulfillment - deivery timeframes, quality of designe and dependability. Performance. Returnds...
I ordered the James Bond Seamaster Professional Chromometer - It has a Steelband and bezzier, with a deep blue herringbone pattern on the face of the watchface

Mine arived two days ago. It is very beautifully made.
The seller said if the item was not like I wanted, the refund product.

So, I am comfortable ordering more,

Some additiona Plussus"
- Watch is heavy
- Watch has continuous, and very smooth 0 motion on the second hand. Glowing dial markers
- Watch's polish is high-grade
- There is Omega Branding on the clasp, the back of the bezzel, and the herringbone pattern on the watch face.

I handed it the Jeweler to remove two segments in the band to tighten the watch for my wrist. This is at a watch and jewelry shop where I believe he would have been more exited he had an Omega. Well once done, I mentioned that my Omega was in fact, a well-crafted replica.

I got the impression he was a slightly embarrssed since he did not catch the give-away details of a fake highdollor with out me admitting it,

I concur with this guy....V - and I will post pics after the weekend.

Later Friends!

John

Where was it I read that replica watches fund terrorism?

I'm sure you're all familiar with the 't-word'...

Huh?

I was not aware. However, I do not scrub the internet to find out if my purchases fund terror. If I knew it, I would not buy... this watch was made in China. Last I remember, China is a secular state AND almost everything on my desk at work says "Made In China" on it.

I imagine China is intolerant to Islamo-fascist terrorists as much as they are towards any organized religious entity. China does not do religion well... evil or righteous in scope.

Oops, we just turned a $140 dollar watch into something more.

Still looks cool.

Better prices??? :confused

Yup, look at this.

These are the same exact watches, both Rolex Submariners with ETA movement

Here's Hotreplica's for $475

http://www.hotreplica.com/product_i...id=2840&prname=Rolex_Submariner_Swiss_Replica

And here's Trustytime's for $188

I can't see a difference between the two (except $287), unless I've overlooked something.

I'm very seriously considering getting a watch from these guys. I have a nice luminox navy seals dive watch that i use for every day, but I really need a dress watch. And if I can score a dead-on Rolex for 1/500th the price of the real deal, I'll do it.

Same thing with the 007 Omega SeaMaster

Hotreplica's for $499 (hotreplica doesn't offer a non 007 version, so I had to compare the 007 version from both companies).

And Trustytime's for $238
