When is enough enough? I was coming back to work from lunch and saw a billboard for Arthur starring Russell Brand!!!

That is just an insult to the classic Arthur starring Dudley Moore!

Please stop Hollywood!!!:angry

I really have no love for Russel Brand, and I can't stand the recent remake trend...

But seeing him in a full batsuit did bring a snicker out of me. :$

Funny... when I saw this preview the other day, I never even drew the conclusion that it was a remake of Arthur.

All the remake's I've seen lately have sucked and they're going to keep sucking. I'm really not impressed with the dive the industry has taken the past 10-15 years. Sure there are good movies out and everything is a rip off of something in some way, shape or form but remakes are bad choices. That also goes for Re-vamps... Seriously.... Spider-man, Tomb Raider, allgeldy a new series of Blade films aswell. These movies aren't even 20 or 30 years old and they want to start a new series cause the others either sucked or didnt draw enough attention? F that. As for Russel Brand. I'm not a fan of him, or his damn wife. I saw a pic of him awhile ago in the Batsuit and I just thought "Either he's doing a stupid movie as batman, or just a stupid movie."

As for Arthur, I haven't seen the original but since it's being re-made my only safe assumption is that the original is about 10x better. Just my opinion but I hate Hollywood and their remakes.

Sometimes I can't help but laugh when I read all the negativity here. You guys are so bitter.

I like the original Arthur and I like Brand. When I saw the trailer I was unsure about the movie, but I'm definitely going to give it a chance. Remake or not, it looks like it'll be entertaining, and a movie doesn't have to be a "classic" to make you laugh for 2 hours. It's fine to hope that the movie you just bought a ticket for will be one of your favorites in ten years, but there's no reason to pass up on one because you assume it won't be. So stop hating on everything before there's real justification, please.

Same Russel Brand for me is a umm well so so actor. But the batsuit came on in the ad and I giggled a bit.

This movie might be kind of funny so I'll take the wife to see it, but where is all the creativity in hollywood? What are they going to remake next? Top Gun...Jaws...or how about Goonies...

I'm kind of amazed they haven't already remade Top Gun. But it's OK, the window will probably be open for the next 20 years or so.

I couldn't make heads or tails out of the trailer and had no idea it was the Arthur remake until the end when the title came up. I just hung my head in disgust. I'm sorry, but the original is a classic and you can't replace Dudley Moore and Sir John Gielgud, you just can't do it. I so f'n sick of remakes.
