I'm just curious, someone had posted a thread this morning about getting a girlfriend, and already having a wife, and the thread has since vanished. Why was the thread deleted?

The thread in question wasn't appropriate for the RPF. We strive to have a family-friendly forum, and that thread touched on subjects (being married and still having sex with another person, religious aspects, etc) that are best left to other places on the internet.
