Reference quest- Rebel Trooper DH-17 from Rogue One

Hello all,

I have searched high and low, but I can't find any references for the Rebel Trooper blaster, the DH-17, used by the Tantive IV at the end of the film. I've seen varients that show up on Yavin or Scarif, but nothing from the actual Blockade Runner.

Has anyone come across images of these props?

All I've come across was concept art. It's almost impossible to see details on screen. The scene was so awesome in Rogue One, I'd love to take a crack at it but....

I just came across this, searching for other stuff. I have no experience with the DH-17 so I might be beating the dead horse... but that is darn close to the look of the muzzle.

That's the airsoft Sterling handle!!! Last or bottom picture

I rejected it for my build because of the shape, recognize it well.

I don’t know if that’s the ones the rebels use when running with the plans. But this is all they have in the R1 visual dictionary

Sorry to revive a seemingly dead thread, I've found that the DH-17s in the film and later used in 'The Mandalorian' are made using the S&T Sterling L2A3 Airsoft Rifle like the Stormtrooper Rifles, most of the rifles seem to be based off the ROTJ version of the DH-17 but the ones used at the end are more directly based off the ANH versions with no Magazine well on the left side, I don't know if these particular props are made with real modified Airsoft rifles or castings off the Airsoft rifle, this is based entirely off studying screenshots, I wish there were better photos so I could make sure.

The lower images are taken from 'The Mandalorian', I couldn't get any good shots from 'Rogue One'.

My clearest pic of one of the other configurations:

Unfortunately there's not a lot of documentation on R1 blasters that I've found.. Especially the background Rebel blasters I think.

Here's one that was made for TFA:

Which appears to be the one that Bistan uses (and the first image):

Per the photos Halliwax shared previously, there was at least one hero, maybe two, based off the actual airsoft guns, you can see the wires in the bolt area here:

All the resin stunts should have a solid bolt area - at least that is how it was done on the E-11s.

Blast from the past thread
Yeah, tonight I'd been researching DH-17s particularly the versions from the newer films because I'd like to put together a replica one day and I wondered about creating a thread about it but then I saw this one and decided to add to it.

Just spent a bit of time looking for crisper images today.

For the R1 specific DH-17 which are based of the Airsoft Sterlings - the light seems to be an X300 (probably a knock off like the surefires on the E-11s). The mount is (probably) the same Geissele/ALG rail used on the E-11s from what I can see, Talon swivel for the front mount, and a Bimini/marine webbing hook for the rear sling mount. No idea on the scope rail.

Found some additional configurations of the sequel-style version that was used:

The scope is probably some amalgamation of a cheap airsoft scope for and a scratch part perhaps? The windage knobs don't look like a Singlepoint! Here's some closeups from the A280 that show it clearer:

I think it's because scopes were harder to come by and no one was making replicas at the time of production.

Also I've noticed in the corridor scene at the end of the film the trooper in the close up has a blaster with a Magazine on the side instead of the version with a plain left side like the others in the scene.
