Wow, you did a great job with that, i like how you shortened the "turkey feathers", i always wanted to include that option with the kit but never got around to picking up the short ones from the Phantom.....
always great to see these built up

That is a fantastic build! That cockpit and pilot are flawless.

Very nice work, and I really like the stand.

Amazing job, just flawless really isnt it? Cockpit is stunning, the paintwork you have done, WOW.
As for the shot on the base, it looks just like it was pulled from the archive.
So many awesome X wings about of late, Mike Salzo is a star indeed!

And the cockpit and pilot are the hardest thing to do justice to. A poor cockpit can ruin an otherwise excellent ship. I should know, I suck at cockpits and pilots. SHARE YOUR SECRET!!!

Excellent job!!!!!

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!! :eek:eek:eek

THAT is the way to do it!!! FANTASTIC WORK!!!

What else do you have up your sleeve sir?!! I will be watching with WIDE OPEN eyes! (y)cool:thumbsup

Hey el loco, that’s some great reference pictures of the ILM Model. How did you manage to get so close :)

But seriously, Ausgezeichnet Arbeit. What an excellent job. It looks spot on.

El loco, just fantastic!! That is outstanding work. . . :eek
What did you use for those tiny white stripes in the front of the cockpit?
And if you say you painted them. . . I'm going to go jump out the window. :lol

thanks you all for so much positive comments :$

Hand Solo, ralphee, REL and the other X-Wing Builders here have inspired me with their great X-Wings :eek

@ superjedi, the thin stripes in the Cockpit are decals made from rests of some Aircraftdecalsheets cut with a very sharp knife, so please come off that Windowsill :lol

Hey Kuhn Global, there is nothing more in my sleeve :cry
But i guess in YOUR sleeve soon will be a complete Red Squadron, build by the best Studio Scale Modelers.:lol :thumbsup

If there is any Interest, i have made some "Pics-from-the-Workbench"

Thanks
Andre

El Loco, we'd love to see the buildup in progress pix. I'm planning on doing an Xwing at some point and I'd like to wrap my mind around the whole process just to get an idea how much work and time will be involved. Thank you kindly for offering those pix here. :)

That is probably the best I have seen - your cockpit makes me weak in the knees! You have raised the bar - congrats!!

Any man who has his own bluescreen setup... is a hero around these parts. :cool

Excellent debut! And welcome. :D
