Limited Run Red TROS Version Floating Jedi Training Remote Limited Edition

Trent,
I am so happy I was a part of this run. Beyond happy cannot even describe how much I love my remote. Even going beyond the amazing detail and craftsmanship, you should be very proud to have made so many Star Wars fans feel like a little kid again.. Every time I float it I am 5 years old for a little while. Lol. Lots of smiles.
Thanks to you and your wife,

99 has arrived! Got a little worried about customs on my side (they're getting a lump of coal for xmas) but now it's here. First test, see if it floats all night. Looking great right now though. Thanks Trent!

WOW are you serious? That's insane that it took that long! WHY!?
Please let me know when you get it floating and everything's ok. Post pics when you get it set up.
Read the manual and watch the video for proper floating technique so you don't accidentally bump it.

No idea. And I won't go into UK customs charges! But anyway, the etsy tracking function seems pretty good. You can see that this thing spent more time in UK post than it did in the US. Held at customs for a while, maybe they thought it was a thermal detonator or something. This isn't typical of stuff going from US to UK. One time I got something from the RPF that reached my house in about 3 days. It's just hit and miss at how things work out at our end.

I'm not home at the mo, but everything's fine. Set it up yesterday after work and let it float all night. No problems or issues here! Looks great.

Awesome.
I can believe it. I'm actually dealing with a kit right now that I shipped to Canada (done it many times with no issues) and it sat in Chicago from the 15th until Dec 2nd! I sent it Priority Express (3-5 days) and it's now day 20 and it just now arrived in Canada customs.

I'm so glad you like it! Post pics!

Temporary until it makes it home !

I asked Trent about this- he suggested searching on Amazon for an acrylic stand to hold an autographed baseball.

Yep they make simple clear acrylic cylinders for baseballs. You could set that in the base and set the remote on the stand.
But also why would you not leave it plugged in? If you have a battery backup and follow general practices of taking it down during bad weather or when leaving town you should otherwise need to remove it. I’ve had mine going pretty much nonstop for 13 years.

Hey guys,
I've been asked by a few members if I'd be up for making a The Rise of Skywalker red training remote as used by Rey.
I'll be making a small few of these in one batch, rather than an ongoing run.
They would be $650 plus shipping.

Hi Trent proud owner of one of your OT ones (and love it) put me down as interested in one, when would you likely be shipping them, have 4x efx/Anovos helmets hitting the bank account this month so mightn’t be able to pay full amount until Feb.

do you know if any of the greblies are different on the red version?

also re the blue on in the visual directory do you think that’s the same one just re painted in real life or with CGI or just a pre production variant. Was hella confused when I saw it

I'm interested in a red one. Just received one of your kits this week and I'm planning on starting that this weekend. Curious when payment and shipping will happen as well.

Greeblies are all the same. I almost feel like they just scanned the prop and printed it, then hand painted it, or painted an MR. In the movie the prop is mostly digital if not all digital. So the display piece could have been the source of that CG prop. But it was clearly painted in the OT scheme and then just the ball was painted red.
What I'll probably do for these is paint the ball white like normal, then use masking fluid/latex for the weathering spots, do a coat of red over it, paint all the greeblies white/gray separately, assemble, then weather the whole thing. So it's some extra steps and a deviation from my normal process. That plus the low number, is why the price went up $20.
