No, but I'm mad keen on it. I fear unfortunately that they would have to take it down the teen lit into film type thing (not that thats entirely a bad thing, I enjoyed some of the Hunger Games etc but theres so much more to this.

The production values would have to be insane to get it right.

However - I believe Pierce Brown is doing at least the first drafts of screenplay himself, which should mean we retain the solid bones of it.
 
I keep seeing stuff about this and misreading the titles, thinking it's about "Red Riding," a miniseries about corruption and murder in 1970s Yorkshire.

Then I'm very happy to tell you this, Pierce Brown has confirmed that it will be a Rated R movie trilogy! His explanation is all we could ever ask for. I'm glad to be the bearer of amazingly good news!

You should watch the whole thing but the question is asked around 51:00 into the vid. He gets asked if it'll be rated R too, listen to his response!

For the lazy folks here, Pierce Brown says everything we could ever hope for about the movies, "...Yes (about it being Rated R)....I want it as violent as possible....I want the violence to be startling. I want it to be seen as a tool......"
