WIP Red Hood a bit late for the release date, but on it's way none the less...

Guess I have seen once on a guy who model yours from reference on web, but should be building it from scratch :)

Looks amazing. Would you ever do a run on these or do a fully printed and painted one for comission?

It'll actually be a tinted clear resin cast off of the 3D printed model. I myself wont be doing the run, but another member has offered to do so. I'll pm you a little later with the details if you are interested.

Would the other member be posting in this thread, or would it go straight to project runs? I'd love to own this bucket!

Ok so I've dropped my model and started stripping the game file down for print... not gonna get more accurate than that I suppose.

What 'program' did you use for ripping the model?, and did it come with the body or just the helmet?, Great work so far and I cant wait to it is done!.

I didnt rip the file myself... one of the members on fb group has got most of the game files ripped and made them available. I understand the guys are have a tough time cleaning the mesh so that it'll be pep friendly though.

No, it's on the pepakura facebook group. The files are a bit of a mission to get, as they are listed by date, not by name... so a bit of searching is going to be needed. Let me know if you cant find the group though.

Are the files just for the Arkham Knight himself, or are there other characters from the game too?

How did you clean up the model?... was on of the reasons because it will be easier to print and to make it 'functional (meaning that you can assemble the different parts)' and also, what software did you use to clean up...Great work as well!.

Thanks bud, I use Blender to clean up the models. Basically trial and error, delete a vertex here and remove a couple of faces there till I get what I'm looking for lol.

Thanks so much!, and why exactly did you 'turn-over' to a ripped model, because yours looked great, and accurate, from the pictures anyway.

No problem bud, I only switched over because I've been very busy with my "day job"... I'm just not getting time to sit and focus on the modeling side, so it was basically a short cut lol.

Do you know how tall the helmet is meant to be in the game because Jason Todd is (from the arkham city wikia) about 1.83m. I am saying this because I am planning to 3d print this, just for my own collection and you have been a great help:) and one last thing - are you planning to put electronics, that being either the faceplate opening or lights and it looks like it works smiler to the Iron man helmet mechanism.

Turns out it is about 25cm tall, in the outside.

hey Bandiet iv been following the red hood and the Arkham knight helmets for like two months now but i just recently made an account. iv been making different pep projects for about 2 years. i love what your doing with the red hood and was wondering if you have any intention or making a pep render of the same thing or if you know someone else that was. thanks

I know I'm know Bandiet, but The guy (who's name escapes me) on the Facebook 'Pepakura library' group who he Bandiet was talking about has the pepakura file for the helmet which I have then I exported into a .obj to then put into either blender or 3ds max or any 3d program or even new versions of Photoshop, hope this helps:).

So are the files for 3d printing available somewhere, or do the game files need modifications? I'm not sure I understand here. I'd rather like to print that helmet.
