I ordered the Red Guardian costume from Feel the Power of Men's & Women's, Leather Jackets & Accessories at White Sheep Leather and am very, very happy with it. The suit consists of pants, a mesh shirt with the suit's sleeves attached, and a back-zipping vest with the star, straps etc. You can get either leather or faux leather accessories as an add-on. I went with the faux leather, for economical reasons. The pants can actually zip to the shirt part to make it more of a jumpsuit. I wore it unattached.
Good points:
1. The material is sturdy, and very comfortable. I walked around indoors and outdoors in Atlanta for several hours and while it was certainly warm, it was a lot more comfortable than I anticipated.
2. The price was very reasonable.
3. Functional pockets with snap closures on the pants!
4. I was quoted a 35 day process to get it to me, and with shipping (from Pakistan to Georgia, USA) it took 42 days, which was fine and dandy with me. DHL actually got it to me about 3 days sooner than their estimate, so kudos to them as well.
Bad points:
1. No helmet. I wish they'd offer one, but I might buy or make one when the opportunity arises.
2. Some inaccuracies. The real suit has some black panels on the front and sides that aren't there on this costume. The buckles on the shoulders are vinyl patches, though they look fine from a distance. The star on the chest is all white (in the movie it's either silver or has a silver border, hard to tell in some shots) and the design is a bit off. The arm guards are not overly accurate, but not bad.
3. Not really a bad point, more of a caveat: with the back zip vest and the arm guards, you probably won't be able to suit up by yourself.
4. This "bad point" worked in my favor, but from my waist size I expected the pants to be too long and in need of hemming up or rolling up, but they seem to be shorter than the sizing chart would suggest, as they fit perfectly. For an added fee you can order to your customized measurements, so consider that as an option if you want to be more certain of a proper fit.
Now the pics: (and I'm not normally quite this scruffy looking. I let my beard go for about 2 months to look right.)
Overall, I'd score the costume as an A-, and would certainly recommend White Sheep Leather.
