I have looked to see if I could source the rectangular foam bits with no luck so I with probably vacform some foam

I was looking at giving this a go myself at one point but other projects have gotten in the way as they always do lol. Have you got some decent reference pics? I have a handful somewhere if you need them

i know i start something then get side tract by commissions im also busy with kilowatt from batteries not included

Ah yeah think they are the ones I used, also a fan of batteries not included is this a personal project then? It's a shame Red Dwarf doesn't get more forum time here, as there are plenty of props to do from the shows. Unfortunately I don't think there would be enough interest in many runs :-(
