I am wondering if ebay seller timothyagray is a recaster. He sells a lot of items that can be found on these boards, apparently from different sources, and I don't think he created them all and/or has permission to sell them.

Well that is definitely Darth Saber's Indy map.
I love his description of it. He is referring to a prop that WAS NOT SEEN IN THE MOVIE and has only been interpreted by artists. No two artists will interpret it alike, let alone EXACTLY. He took DS's and is selling it.

Yet he states:
The Prop consists of all parts of the map, aged and weathered, to be screen accurate.

All the writing is completely readable and replicated from the original screen-used props.

Screen accurate? Replicated from original screen used prop?

IT IS DARK BLUE :lol. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I guess his ideas on screen accurate is different.

As its about eBay recasters. This guys a big one all items are from runs or items that have sold here in the last year. The guys listed his personal details on the eBay sales. Name he goes by his John Raw

He had about 20 items for sale yesterday

Well this is actually your Dark Knight letter that I noticed first while browsing evilbay. I thought maybe you allowed him to sell these.

This is the reason I stopped posting my stuff here, at the time I had made about 30+ fight club paper props and was nearly ready to post when that Herve guy stole all the BTTF stuff and started selling it en masse.
I don't mind giving stuff away but I don't like it being 'stolen' and sold for profit.....makes me wanna puke big time. :(

I removed my stuff years ago. Got tired of seeing it for sale. He blamed ME for not watermarking them. Dude, they were for everyone....for free, not so you can try to make ten bucks once a month or so selling them.

It wasn't like he was going to get rich selling them, and he got banned. He was selling way too many people's files.

man it sucks that ******** ruin things for everyone. maybe there should be a section that is only available to long time members.

or you could so like some members do is put up a low res pic on the post and if you want the prop you pm the poster and they decide if they want you to have the replica. that way the poster can decide if he wants to share with that person or not. you could put up as part of the post that you will share with some one that has been a member for a year and have 100 posts. and that way the poster knows who got copy's if they show up on ebay. and if more than one posters work shows up on ebay you can check the lists to see who are on both posters lists and it would help narrow down the number of suspects to help figure out who gets the ban hammer.

and white hammer if you ever want to share the fight club stuff, i would love to have it. as it is one of my favorite movies.

To me it's just pitiful. It won't have any effect on me sharing anything on here, it's always a possibility this can happen, this is nothing new. I share when I can because a lot of others have done the same. Like dbuck said, make $10 a month, why bother? I'd much rather have friendship and be trusted on here, much more fun. Not telling anyone else to just take things from here and throw up on ebay, but I really don't even care that it happened.

But getting rich is a matter of perspective, especially if he's older and still living with his parents. :lol

So, you have to sign up to get access to this page right? What about blocking the pages until you get at least 300 posts. I know it may be a bit much to someone like me who used to browse this forum ALL the time when my roommate had an account, but I would be willing to become more active to gain a better understanding of the people in the community and such. I LOVE this forum and I LOVE what the people do on here because my walls have a lot of stuff on here that were influenced by many of the people here.

He changed his eBay ID after you created this thread.
He is now Spaceageprops.

I am betting that he freaked when he saw this thread, especially that his eBay ID most likely was his real name and might be the link to figuring out who he is on the board here. Looks like its time to do some major investigating.

You can now be 100% sure he is active here and reading.

Yep.... 100% sure he is here.
After I postedy first post above about how he put in his description that the Raiders map was screen accurate to the one used on screen, and I pointed out how it was never seen in the film, he adjusted his description accordingly. It no longer states it is screen accurate :lol

He is reading!!

Guess he has no creativity whatsoever seeing as he could make his own versions of these props, if he would just put forth some effort.

It is only a matter of time cross checking a few things.
We have a possible name. We know he is in either France or Shefford, United Kingdom.
He is selling on eBay France, but lists the location as Shefford, United Kingdom. We just need to explore both right now.
So it will just take some poking around on the site here and Internet. Possibly have the mods check records.

We will get him and get him tossed ;)
