It just dawned on me that I should share this here:

This was a fun project. It was also more time consuming than it should be. I'm still getting used to what tolerances at which I can cut the wax. I must have machined this 3 or 4 times before I was satisfied.
I tried black and yellow as a color scheme first, but the black and gold was so much nicer. I base painted it with black gloss spray paint. The gold came from a leafing pen. I should probably seal it, but haven't done so as of yet.
There was a slight distortion during curing, because I put a magnet in it. I guess I won't try that again, unless I have a thicker item.
